EX-SERVICE MEN OPEN METAL WORKING SHOP

East Moline -Two ex-service men have joined partnership in the opening of a new machine shop and metal working factory in East Moline and the new place of business is now open at 1141 Eighteenth avenue, it was announced today.
Proprietors of the business are William J. Dowsett and Harold A. VandeWater, both of whom served machinist apprenticeships at Rock Island arsenal prior to serving in the armed forces as journeymen toolmakers. Both saw service in the Pacific theater, Dowsett in the navy and VandeWater in the army.
The new firm will be known as East Moline Metal Products Co., and will specialize in sheet metal stampings and power brake work.
The shop is also equipped to do all general machine and repair work
